Fashion brands to have shops on Norwegian Escape
Norwegian Cruise Line said Carolina Herrera and Lacoste will open their first boutiques at sea on the Norwegian Escape, a ship scheduled to enter service in November.
Lacoste was originally a men’s sports apparel brand developed in the 1920s by French tennis player Rene Lacoste, whose crocodile nickname became the brand’s symbol. Its shop on Escape will offer signature polos, t-shirts, dresses, skirts, footwear and accessories.
Venezuelan designer Carolina Herrera made her name with celebrities such as Mick Jagger and Andy Warhol. The shop on Escape will feature handbags, leather goods, pashminas, scarves, jewelry, footwear and accessories.
The 4,000-passenger Escape will also be the first ship to introduce Ulysse Nardin watches, Norwegian said.
